Four new datasets developed as part of 4C project are now available.

As part of 4C, a European project researching climate-carbon interactions in the current century, four new datasets related with carbon dioxide (CO2) have been prepared and are now available to download. These datasets provide important information and data for climate research. They cover the following topics:

Annual growth rates of XCO2

Specific data products on XCO2 from satellites have been developed as part of the 4C project, which include column-averaged dry-air CO2 mole fractions (such as uncertainty estimates, averaging kernels, etc.).

Gridded carbon and nitrogen land-ocean fluxes

A dataset on carbon and nitrogen input from coastal erosion and rivers north of 60°N has been released. Coastal erosion fluxes include total carbon and total nitrogen, while the riverine fluxes include dissolved inorganic carbon, dissolved organic carbon, dissolved inorganic nitrogen, dissolved organic nitrogen, dissolved organic and inorganic phosphorus, and silicate. Further information of this dataset can be also found in the associated publication.

CMPI6 datasets

Two datasets from EC-Earth3 model output (omip1 and omip2) have been prepared for the internationally-coordinated Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6). These and other CMIP6 data provide a basis for climate research designed to answer fundamental science questions.
